Poseurs is so proud to be supporting Urban Rest Stop all January during Dope Moments. Urban Rest Stop has 3 locations throughout Seattle where individuals and families experiencing homelessness can access showers, laundry, restrooms, fill up water bottles, get inside from the cold and get connected with services. During the One Night Count in 2017, 11,600 people were found living unsheltered in King County, nearly 70% of them were in the City of Seattle, making Seattle a city with the third largest population of people experiencing homelessness in the US. We are glad to start out 2018 by supporting this great organization, that provides a little bit of dignity and safety to those who need it most in our city.
Dope Moments started in 2017 in response to the 2016 election and an urgent feeling that as yogis we needed to do more to protect and support our community. We are so inspired by the generosity of the Poseurs community over the last year- nearly $5000 to 13 different charities to be exact. Thank you for showing up, thanks for doing hard work, thanks for caring. Namaste, Emily, Kelly and Jeff
